Project Description and Deliverables

Free legal assistance to young African Australians in the West and their families on issues such as:
o ImmiCards and citizenship applications
o Fines, infringements and debts
o Family Law and Domestic and Family Violence
o Tenancy and renting issues
o Car accidents
o Criminal law
o Consumer help and problems with products or services

Free legal education sessions for African Australian communities in the West on:
o Renters’ Rights
o Police Powers
o Domestic and Family Violence
o Consumer Law
o Fines and Infringements

Free training on African cultural perspectives and engagement, and how to identify and support clients with legal issues, for professionals and organisations working with young African Australians in the West.

Referral pathways to other legal and non-legal services.
