When you contact us, we will ask you for a brief description of your legal problem and the details of all the parties involved. We do not provide any legal advice when you make first contact, rather, we will seek information to decide whether we can book you in to speak with a lawyer or whether we will need to refer you to a more appropriate service. Interpreters can be assigned if required.
Please note that the initial legal consultation will consist of legal advice with any ongoing assistance and casework to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
If you have a legal problem that is different from those mentioned above, we can refer you to another service that may be able to assist, or you can call the Victorian Legal Aid Legal Helpline on 1300 792 387.
If you live outside our catchment area, you can contact the Federation of Community Legal Centres on (03) 9652 1500 to find your local community legal centre.

We cover the Local Government areas of Brimbank and Melton, including the surrounding suburb of Bacchus Marsh.
Wait Times
The exact wait time for an appointment depends on a number of factors, including the area of law you need help with, whether you would like an in person or telephone appointment, the urgency of your matter and our overall capacity.
Our wait times at present are:
Generalist (non-Family Law): approximately 1-2 weeks
Family Law: approximately 2-3 weeks

Getting to our St Albans office
Our St Albans office is a five minute walk from St Albans train station.
If you drive to our St Albans office, you can find free parking at the rear of the building with the entrance via Arthur Street. Please use the parking spots with the commUnity+ signs.
