COVID 19 Update

Due to the public safety concerns caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), the Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre will close its office.

We will continue to provide legal assistance by way of advice over the telephone.

To make a booking please call (03) 8592 9077.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however, this decision has been made in order to protect our staff, our clients, and our community from non-essential close contact.

We can give you free advice about:

  • Family violence and intervention orders
  • Fines and infringements
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Civil debts
  • Some tenancy issues
  • Family law
  • Minor criminal matters

We have a main office in St Albans and outreach clinic in Melton. We can help if you live, work or study in Brimbank, Melton, or Bacchus Marsh.

Our Address: Suite 2-4, 30 to 32 East Esplanade St. Albans, VIC 3021 (office currently closed to the public)

Ph: 03 8592 9077

Open: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (via telephone only)

You can call the Victoria Legal Aid Helpline on 1300 792 387 to get information over the phone before you contact us.

When you call us, we will ask you for a brief description of your legal problem and the details of all the parties involved.  We can use an interpreter if required.

Please note that our lawyers generally do not provide court representation or complete paperwork. We provide legal information and referral, advice, and limited casework subject to capacity.

If you have a legal problem that is different from those mentioned above, we can refer you to another service that may be able to assist, or you can call the Victorian Legal Aid Legal Helpline on 1300 792 387.

If you live outside our catchment area, you can contact the Federation of Community Legal Centres on (03) 9652 1500 to find your local community legal centre.
